Each year countless Jerusalem street cats suffer hunger, thirst and illness, and die of neglect. The Jerusalem Society for the Welfare of Street Cats is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of our feline friends and improving the quality of their lives.

We rescue sick and injured cats, ensure that they receive appropriate veterinary care, and provide temporary shelter. We facilitate the spaying/neutering of street cats in an attempt to limit population growth, and prevent the birth of unwanted kittens, who generally starve, die of illness, or are run over on our roads. We organize feeding stations manned by volunteers to maintain a stable population of spayed/neutered cats in the neighborhood and prevent the proliferation of rats, mice, snakes, and other pests.

To receive a receipt for U.S. tax purposes, send your check made payable to PEF Israel Endowment Funds, Inc. to P.E.F. Israel Endowment Funds, Inc. 317 Madison Ave., Suite 607, NY,NY 10017., specifying "Jerusalem Society of Street Cats" on an attached note. These checks must be a minimum of $25.
